singer fromFramlingham inSuffolk , formerly signed to theTru Thoughts label. Recently known for singing on tracks withWill Holland 's "Quantic" and "Quantic Soul Orchestra", she has also performed the lead vocals on a cover ofThe White Stripes ' hit "Seven Nation Army " with Nostalgia 77.Her solo work is performed in a nine-piece band called "Alice Russell Live". In July 2004, Russell delivered her debut solo album, "Under The Munka Moon" , for Tru Thoughts Recordings. A mixture of her earlier collaborative efforts and new material. Under The Munka Moon includes tracks written with Bah Samba, Kushti, Nature Boy, and Quantic, with additional production and remix work from Digitek, Atjazz, and Plaid.
