Montebello Town Center

Montebello Town Center is a shopping mall located mostly within the city limits of Montebello, California. A small portion of its eastern side is actually within the city limits of Rosemead, California. It is managed by The Macerich Company. It is nestled up against the hills in the heart of the San Gabriel Valley, convert|8|mi|km east of downtown Los Angeles. The mall serves this ethnically diverse trade area with four department stores (JCPenney, 2 Macy's and Mervyn's) and 160 shops, eateries and restaurants. A Robinsons-May store was formerly located at the Montebello Town Center, but was closed in 2006 and was subsequently turned into a Macy's apparel-fashion department store. It remains the long-standing sales per square foot leader in the San Gabriel Valley. Fact|date=February 2007 The mall is located directly adjacent to the Highway 60 Pomona Freeway.

Construction of the mall began in 1980 and was completed in 1985. The mall opened for business towards the end of that year.
