M. Pat Korb

Margaret "Pat" Korb is co-founder and director of The Gestalt Center of Gainesville, Inc., in Gainesville, Florida. She is co-author of "Gestalt Therapy: Practice and Theory" (Pergamon Press, 1989), and "iContact: The Gestalt Guide to Skilled Communication" (Gestalt Journal Press, 2007). She is the author of two papers dealing with aspects of the Gestalt therapeutic process: "Redefining Maturity and Maturational Processes" (The Gestalt Journal, Vol. XXII, No. 2, pp 7-29), and "The Numinous Ground: I-Thou in Gestalt Work" (The Gestalt Journal, Vol. XI, No. 1, pp 97-105). Pat holds an M.A. in English and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of Florida. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and is listed in the Gestalt Directory. She is a founding member of the International Gestalt Therapy Association (IGTA) and a member of the Association for the Advancement of Gestalt Therapy [http://www.aagt.org/] .

Korb trained under Gertrude Krause, herself a student of Fritz Perls.
