Joseph Pannell Taylor (4 May, 1796 – 29 June, 1864) was a Union general in the American Civil War.

Biography

He was born in Louisville, Kentucky to Richard Taylor and Sarah Dabney Strother, his brother was Zachary Taylor. He married Evelyn A. McLean (1811-?) from Ohio, daughter of John McLean, a justice of the Ohio and the U.S. Supreme Court.
