Melbourneand grew up in Oxford, Englandand Sydney, Australia. She trained at National Institute of Dramatic Artin Sydney, graduating in 1995. Dallimore's stage credits with the Sydney Theatre Companyinclude: David Edgar's "Pentecost", "The Unlikely Prospect of Happiness", Andrew Upton and Gale Edwards' "The Hanging Man", and "Miss Adelaide" in " Guys & Dolls". She also created the role of "Simone" in "Up for Grabs", later played by Madonna in the West End.
In addition to her stage career, Dallimore also has film and television credits. These include roles in
Yahoo Serious' " Mr. Accident", " Kangaroo Jack", and " The Extra". She was also featured alongside Glenn Closeand Harry Connick, Jr.in the 2001 television remake of the Rodgers and Hammersteinmusical, "South Pacific". She appeared in an episode of the UKtelivision crime drama Midsomer Murdersentitled "Last Year's Model".
Dallimore made her West End debut as
Glindain the Original London Company of Stephen Schwartz's hit Broadway musical, "Wicked", originally opposite Broadway's original Elphaba Idina Menzel& Kerry Ellis. Dallimore played her final performance as Glinda in London on July 14, 2007 and she was succeeded by fellow GlindaStand-by Dianne Pilkington.
Dallimore recently finished her run in comedy Boeing Boeing in Australia. Several performances had been canceled due to a lack of succes. She is engaged to Abe Forsythe.
