Australia n actress.Dallimore was born
Melbourne and grew up inOxford, England andSydney ,Australia . She trained atNational Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney, graduating in 1995. Dallimore's stage credits with theSydney Theatre Company include: David Edgar's "Pentecost", "The Unlikely Prospect of Happiness", Andrew Upton and Gale Edwards' "The Hanging Man", and "Miss Adelaide" in "Guys & Dolls ". She also created the role of "Simone" in "Up for Grabs", later played by Madonna in the West End.In addition to her stage career, Dallimore also has film and television credits. These include roles in
Yahoo Serious ' "Mr. Accident ", "Kangaroo Jack ", and "The Extra ". She was also featured alongsideGlenn Close andHarry Connick, Jr. in the 2001 television remake of theRodgers and Hammerstein musical, "South Pacific". She appeared in an episode of theUK telivision crime dramaMidsomer Murders entitled "Last Year's Model".Dallimore made her West End debut as
Glinda in the Original London Company of Stephen Schwartz's hit Broadway musical, "Wicked", originally opposite Broadway's original ElphabaIdina Menzel &Kerry Ellis . Dallimore played her final performance as Glinda in London on July 14, 2007 and she was succeeded by fellowGlinda Stand-byDianne Pilkington .Dallimore recently finished her run in comedy Boeing Boeing in Australia. Several performances had been canceled due to a lack of succes. She is engaged to Abe Forsythe.
