The tenor Christos Stasinopoulos (his surname occasionally appears as Stassinopoulos) is an opera singer, recitalist and actor from Athens.

Education
Christos Stasinopoulos studied acting at the Drama Schools of Piraeus Association and Eugenia Hatzikou in Athens.
He started his vocal studies at the National Greek Conservatory with Georgia Georgilopoulou, continued in Stockholm with Ulla Blom and completed in Athens, at the Hellenic Conservatory, with Paulos Raptis. He graduated in 1994 summa cum laude, being also awarded an Excellence Prize.
Moreover he studied advanced music theory and harmony at the Hellenic Conservatory with Irene Archavli, graduating with distinction in 1996.
He also studied oratorio, lied and chamber music interpretation, attending a series of master classes by Paul Schilawsky, the eminent pedagogue of Mozarteum Music Academy.
Acting and Singing career
Christos Stasinopoulos made acting debut with the "Seventh Theatre", director Corais Damatis's theatre company. He also joined other groups and participated in various television and radio productions. He starred in Lefteris Chrysochoos's shortfilm "Heralds of the Chimera", that participated in the International Shortfilm Festival in Drama, Greece and the Munich International Festival of Film Schools.
Mainly a concert singer with a repertoire ranging for Renaissance to contemporary music, he has given recitals and participated in concerts in Greece (Athens Festival events at the Mansion of the Duchess of Plaisance, "Parnassos" Concert Hall, "Athenaeum" International Cultural Centre, Athens Municipality Cultural Centre, German Church in Athens "Christus Kirche", Patmos Municipality Cultural Centre, "Apollo" Theatre in Hermoupolis - Syros etc.) and Sweden (Stockholm Music Museum, the Artists' Club - Konstnärsklubb, Churches of All Saints' - Allhelgonakyrkan , St. Paul, Enebykyrkan, Engelbrektskyrkan, Solborg Mansion, City of Västerås Art Museum etc).
In 1997 Christos Stasinopoulos performed the part of Vizier in Nikos Mamangakis' "Opera of Shadows", commissioned and produced by Megaron, the Athens Concert Hall.
In 2008 he was engaged by the Greek National Opera for a production of its Experimental Stage. He performed the tenor part in "Orpheus: a chamber symphony with acting voices" by the Greek contemporary composer Dimitri Sykias and the role of the Soldier in the opera "The Emperor of Atlantis" (Der Kaiser von Atlantis; 1943) by Viktor Ullmann.
Film and television
He was chosen by the Walt Disney Company to perform the title-part in "Aladdin", in the dubbed Greek version of the very successful animated film, as well as in its two sequels "The Return of Jafar" and "Aladdin and the King of Thieves". He's been also the Greek voice of "Aladdin" in the long running tv series. Besides "Aladdin", he has dubbed the parts of Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum in Walt Disney's "Alice in Wonderland".
Warner Bros. chose him to perform the part of Cornelius in the Greek version of Don Bluth's animated film "Thumbelina" and the part of Hubbie in "The Pebble and the Penguin".
