Kopp's Law

Kopp's Law

Discovered in 1864, Kopp's Law is a physics suggestion by A C Woestyn, proposing that the heat capacity of a molecule of any chemical compound is equal to the sum of the heat capacities of its constituents.

The German chemist Hermann Franz Moritz Kopp (1817-92) demonstrated that the precise heat capability of water in combination in numerous hydrates is the same as that of ice. This generalised result is only approximately accurate.
