Clonlara School is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States. The school operates a campus school and a Home Based Education Program as alternative education. Its campus serves five through eighteen-year-olds who reside in Ann Arbor and surrounding areas. The Home Based Education Program (HBEP) also serves students in the K-12 equivalent grades, who learn though Clonlara while located elsewhere.

Clonlara School is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA).[citation needed]

In addition to this accreditation, Clonlara School has core course approval by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).[citation needed]

History

Clonlara was founded by Pat Montgomery in 1967 as a private day school. A second program was established in 1979, the Clonlara Home Based Education Program, which serves home schooling families in each of the United States and in over 19 countries worldwide.[citation needed]
