Caligula in "The Robe" (1953), which he reprised in "Demetrius and the Gladiators " (1954). This was followed by roles in "The Virgin Queen" (1955) starringBette Davis ,"My Man Godfrey " (1957) withDavid Niven andJune Allyson andEverything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex (But Were Afraid to Ask) (1972), theWoody Allen comedy.Although he is perhaps most well known to American audiences as the host and narrator for the Discovery Channel special (and later series) "Beyond Bizarre", his many television guest spots include "
Star Trek TOS "(Episode 58, "Elaan Of Troyius"), the soap opera "Days Of Our Lives ", (Monty, the homeless drunk), and in the late 70s he played the title role in Sid & Marty Krofft'sDr. Shrinker , prominently featured on theKrofft Supershow . He also guest starred in an episode ofBuck Rogers in the 25th Century .His distinctive voice is often confused with that of actor and voiceover artist
