Pramod Bhasin is the President and CEO of
Genpact , the largest BPO company in India. Genpact was formerly known as GE Capital International Services (GECIS ) and was a captive BPO company ofGE . GECIS sold 60% to General Atlantic Patners and OakHill Capital Partners in 2003 and renamed "Genpact". It was listed on NYSE in August 2007 under the symbol "G".BPO
Pramod started GECIS in
1997 afterK.P. Singh 's convincingJack Welch , the former CEO of GE to outsource certain services to India [http://www.rediff.com/money/2006/feb/03bpo.htm] . It was under Pramod that GE hiredRaman Roy and pioneered the voiceBusiness process outsourcing in India and expanded its operations from India to countries likeChina ,Hungary ,Romania ,Poland ,Mexico , thePhilippines and theUnited States .GE Capital International Services was established in 1997. before that Pramod was an officer of GE which combined of
technology , media andfinancial services . Pramod's career at GE and RCA lasted for 25 years. While his posting in the US he served as CFO for GE Capital's Corporate Finance Group in India.Pramod is a
Chartered Accountant (CA) from Thomson McLintock & Co.,London , and also holds aBachelor of Commerce degree fromDelhi University .He is also the founding member of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals and a member of its Strategic Advisory Board.
