Nandopsis is a small genus of cichlid fishes found in lakes, streams and rivers in Cuba and Hispaniola. If disregarding Trinidad and Tobago (where the few native cichlids are members of genera that are widespread on the South American mainland), Nandopsis are the only cichlids native to the Antilles.
Species
The genus currently contains three species, although some authorities (e.g., FishBase) treat N. vombergae as a synonym of N. haitiensis.
- Nandopsis haitiensis Tee-Van, 1935
- Nandopsis tetracanthus Valenciennes, 1831
- Nandopsis vombergae Ladiges, 1938
