This is a list of Emperors and Pretenders to the Throne of Mexico. For previous monarchs see also the list of Aztec rulers and the list of Viceroys of New Spain. However, there is currently no official nobility in the United States of Mexico
*21 July, 1822 - 19 March, 1823: Agustín de Iturbide, former insurrection leader, deposed and executed on 19 July 1824.

*1824 - 1866: Agustin Jerónimo de Iturbide y Huarte, pretender to the throne, also known as "Agustín II".
*10 April, 1864 - 19 June, 1867: Archduke Maximilian of Austria, deposed and executed by republican forces.

*1925 - 1949: Maria Josepha Sophia de Iturbide daughter of Salvador de Iturbide y de Marzán.
