The western terminus of the route is at Pennsylvania Route 74 in York. Its eastern terminus is at Pennsylvania Route 425 and Pennsylvania Route 624 in the Lower Windsor Township hamlet of Craley, where PA 124 continues south as PA 425.
Route description
PA 124 begins at an intersection with Pennsylvania Route 74 (Queen Street) in York. PA 124 begins as College Avenue then changes to Prospect Street. Then PA 124 makes 40 degree turn to become Mount Rose Avenue. In East York, PA 124 interchanges with Interstate 83 at exit 18. PA 124 continues east as Mount Rose Avenue through the community of East York. In Windsor Township PA 124 is called East Prospect Road and intersects Pennsylvania Route 24. East of PA 24, PA 124 as a few minor S-curves. PA 124 passes 313 feet (95 m) south of Yorkana and it passes through the village of Delroy. In the borough of East Prospect, PA 124 enters as Maple street then it makes a 90 degree turn to the south becoming Main Street. As PA 124 exits East Prospect, it becomes Abels Road with a couple curves in Lower Windsor Township. PA 124 terminates (ends) in the hamlet of Craley at an intersection with Pennsylvania Route 624 and it continues as Pennsylvania Route 425.[2]
