Alphington is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Alphington, on the Hurstbridge railway line. The station is unmanned and is in Metcard Zone 1.
Facilities
The station is located at the western end of the Yarralea Street level crossing, with station access from Rowe, Wingrove and Yarralea Streets.
Alphington consists of two side platforms: Platform 1 (citybound) has a large brick building, while platform 2 (Hurstbridge bound) has a smaller brick building. A large Metcard machine is located at the entrance to platform 1, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins. A small Metcard machine is located at the entrance to platform 2. A footbridge is situated at the Melbourne end of the station.
