Gardenvale is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Gardenvale, on the Sandringham railway line. Gardenvale station is unmanned and is in Metcard Zone 1.
Facilities
The station is located in an unusual position between both Nepean Highway and Martin Street rail overpasses, with station access from both.
The station consists of two elevated side platforms: Platform 1 (Flinders Street bound) has a large weatherboard building, while platform 2 (Sandringham bound) has a smaller weatherboard building. A large Metcard machine is located at the entrance to platform 1, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes, coins and debit cards. A small coin-only Metcard machine is located at the entrance to platform 2.
History
