Carrick on Suir railway station, opened on 15 April 1853 [cite web | title=Carrick on Suir station | work=Railscot - Irish Railways | url=http://www.railscot.co.uk/Ireland/Irish_railways.pdf | accessdate=2007-09-07] , serves the town of Carrick on Suir in County Tipperary, Ireland. It is the base for the Irish Traction Group. The station consists of two platforms, one of which is served by a passing loop. There is also a siding, used by the Irish Traction Group to store preserved diesel locomotives.
