With Blood Comes Cleansing (formerly Betrayed With a Kiss) were a Christian deathcore band from Albany, Georgia. After they self-released a 6 song EP in January 2006, they almost immediately landed a spot on Virginia-based Blood & Ink Records. In the Summer following shortly after, they released their first full length album titled "Golgotha". Since the release of that album, the band has been touring, and building a large underground metal fan base all across the U.S. The band has recently moved forward onto a much bigger record label, signed with Victory Records in February 2007. The band released their second and debut album "Horror" on January 22, 2008 through Victory Records. Lead vocalist Dean Atkinson and bassist Dennis Frazier have left the band on good terms. There have been rumors that With Blood Comes Cleansing has broken up since the two left, but according to their myspace page they have not. Dean and Dennis have not given up on music just yet. Dean has reformed his old Christian blackend death metal band When Tomorrow Doesn't Come, and Dennis will be working at a recording studio in Albany Georgia and guitarist Jeremy Sims is now playing guitar for a local albany death metal band Crown Hill. Lyrics

Christianity remains a common theme in their lyrics, as it deals with a variety of ideas such as the admiration of God, ("God, you're all I have/Take my everything./I owe it all to you") to stories about Jesus, ("Now we all can be saved the price for sin is now paid."). Other Christian themes includes: seeking help from God ("God, I need your help now"), stories about Golgotha ("This is the place of the skull where terror reigned/A crucifixion of agony and pain.") and fearing God ("Fear God, and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come.")

Musical influences

Long-time guitar player Jeremy Sims is the primary writer of WBCC's music. He cites many influences, to include: Suicide Silence, Neuraxis, and The Black Dahlia Murder.
