Cristian Alexanda is an Australian R&B singer from Perth. In 2003/04, he has supported a number of well-known acts on their Australian tours including 50 Cent, G-Unit and Sean Paul[1] and Justin Timberlake.

2005: Cristyle

His first single Misunderstood was released on 24 May 2004. It debut in the top 30 at number 29 and peaked at 22 two weeks later. "Misunderstood' was a very popular club and radio anthem in Australia and was certified gold in 2005.[citation needed] The song was taken from his debut album Cristyle produced by The Ignorants and Blacksmith, who had also produced track's for Blue and Craig David.[2] The second single "Party Anthem" was released in July 2004 and debut in the top 20 at number 19. It peaked at 16 and stayed in the top 30 for 8 weeks. It was certified Gold in 2005[citation needed] after huge pop radio success. Alexanda was always criticised buy his peers for his risky choice in song writing and lyrical content.[citation needed] Alexanda said in later interviews for his second album, Urban Nature, that his party lifestyle while writing and recording his 1st album made him draw inspiration from other places inside of him. "Cristyle" was released in early 2005 but had minimum promotion due to a riff between his management label, Legit Music, and marketing / distributor giant Liberation / Mushroom Music.[citation needed] Label owner Michael Gudinski, known for discovering Kylie Minouge and furthering the career of Jimmy Barns, has said Alexanda is one of the most talented and energetic young performers he's seen in recent years.[citation needed] Music media giant Molly Meldrum has also had high praises for Alexanda, saying that his album, Cristyle was the best album released in summer 2004 /2005. A great honour from a man who has been in the industry since the early 1970s.[citation needed] Later that year in June, he supported Justin Timberlake on the Australian leg of the Justified and Stripped Tour.[3] The second single was Party Anthem.

2007-2008: Urban Nature

Cristian spent majority of 2007-2008 Recording his debut 3rd album both in Australia and The United States. The album was fully written by Alexanda, now Alexander, and produced buy the most popular producers in Australia. The album features collaborations from U.S superstar rapper / actor Ja Rule, who made his first rap appearance in years after retiring to pursue acting. The song "Too Fine" feat Ja Rule, was realised in April 2008 and has been his highest charting song to date, debuting at number 15 on the Aria Singles Chart, and peaking at number 10. He was the highest selling Independent Artist for 12 weeks straight having him at the no 1 position for that duration. The album also features U.S platinum rapper Fabolous on the planned 3rd single "Something About You". It was never released as a single due to a meltdown at Fabolous's record label Def Jam,[citation needed] and no video could be produced for it. It remains one of the most popular club songs from Alexanda. The second single "Won't Let You Go" was highly praised buy the Australian Music Media.[citation needed] Due to a company fold from Central Station Records going bankrupt, the albums distributor, the second "won't Let You Go" and third single "Stay With Me" were rush released with no promotion. With moderate radio playing time in Perth and Melbourne. The album was never physically released and is only available on iTunes and in stores in Japan, from 2009. Alexander quickly moved onto his next project "Revolution" recorded for Zhenya Records.
