VIT, C.A. (Venezolana de Industria Tecnológica, Compañía Anónima) is a computer hardware manufacturer which produces desktop and laptop computers, thanks to the support of Inspur (formerly named Langchao) and the Venezuelan government. The first computers they have produced are called Computador Bolivariano (English: Bolivarian Computer), which come with the Kubuntu Linux operating system.[citation needed] The company hopes to sell many computers at a low cost. Production target for the first year is 80,000 computers, of which most will be purchased by the state.

Since April 28, 2009, VIT computers are pre-installed with Canaima GNU/Linux.[1]
