Provinces and regions of Panama

Panama is divided into nine provinces ( _es. provincias) and three provincial-level indigenous regions (Spanish: "comarcas indígenas", often foreshortened to "comarcas").

There are two further "comarcas" within provinces that are considered equivalent to a "corregimiento" (municipality).
