Sutton Coldfield Observer

The Sutton Coldfield Observer is a free local newspaper serving the residents of Sutton Coldfield in Birmingham, England. Launched in 1985, it took over from the Sutton Coldfield Times newspaper. The current editor is Charlotte Hart and the sports editor is Michael Beardmore.

The weekly newspaper reports on local issues and achievements and provides a section on properties for sale in the area. The paper also includes a 16-page leisure guide.

In 2004, the Sutton Coldfield Observer launched the Great Midlands Fun Run, which raised £82,000 for local charities. The same event in 2005 proved to be more successful with 3,650 runners, more than the previous year.

The newspaper is delivered to 57,000 homes (approximately) and is owned by the Daily Mail and General Trust. It is the second most distributed local newspaper in Sutton Coldfield, behind the Sutton Coldfield News.
