Romford station is located in
Romford ,London Borough of Havering , East London. It is situated between Chadwell Heath and Gidea Park. It is the western terminus of the Upminster branch line from Upminster, with Emerson Park the next station along.The current station is made up of two once-separate stations on opposite sides of South Street. The oldest part of the station (current platforms 2–5) was opened by the
Eastern Counties Railway on20 June 1839 . TheLondon, Tilbury and Southend Railway station (current platform 1) was opened on7 June 1893 and originally had two platforms. The two stations are now joined by a footbridge and the LTSR entrance converted for use as a bar.ervice

National Express East Anglia . It is inTravelcard Zone 6 . It is proposed thatCrossrail line 1 will call at Romford. The station is 12 miles (19.3 km) down line from Liverpool Street.Typical off-peak service from the station is:
