- Huancas District
Huancas is a district of the province of Chachapoyas. We find the first Historical references in the different complexes which give testimony of the existence in the past, of settlers who were inhabiting the zone, which had cultural declarations and patterns d and behavior proper.
The archaeological remains allow us to observe with clarity that the behavior of the men of this remote epoch, it was similar to the current men of the society, since also they had indigenous and proper patterns of conduct of his grade of culture.
Huancas is located in where the high low mountain towards the River Sonche. Huancas offers several attractive places as the lookouts of Huancas with an incredible sight, the workshops of pans of mud and a varied Craft. Also he emphasizes the square in the center of the village with his most beautiful church. To come to Huancas a car takes in the city of Chachapoyas.
The boss of the people is the Master of the Miracles, that's why the management holidays are celebrated on October 18.
As typical meals the Chochoca is known with pelt of dirty person and the cuy with dads between others. Huancas belongs to the parroquía of Chachapoyas that is attended by two Priests of the Diocese of Chachapoyas.
In the north the District of Huancas has border with Valera, in the East with the District of Sonche (Chachapoyas), in the south with the District of Chachapoyas, in the west with the District of Luya and the District of Lamud.
