shrub in the familyAsteraceae , native to the southwesternUnited States , including southernCalifornia , far southernNevada , and much ofArizona , as well as adjacent parts of northwestMexico (Baja California andSonora ).Parish goldeneye grows to two feet tall, with bright yellow flowers.
