Maximmillian Javier Zendejas (born September 2, 1963) is a Mexican former placekicker in the National Football League.
Zendejas played college football for the University of Arizona from 1982 to 1985. He was chosen the team's most valuable player in 1985[1] and holds several school records including career scoring leader (360 points) and career field goal percentage (.738).[2][3]
After being drafted in the fourth round in 1986, Zendejas played one season for the Washington Redskins. He played for the Green Bay Packers in 1987 and 1988 before leaving football.
His brothers Luis and Tony also played professional football.[2][4] His nephew, Alex Zendejas Jr. was also a placekicker for the University of Arizona beginning in 2009 until losing his starting position due to poor performance in 2011.[5]
Zendejas was elected to the University of Arizona Sports Hall of Fame in 1999.[2]
