Corr plays acoustic and electric guitar as well as piano, keyboard, accordion and background vocals. He has also had an active role in the production aspects of all of their albums to present date, working with
David Foster andOlle Romo on two separate albums. He sang a few of his own lines in the song 1999 ,a cover of the Prince song.Charity work and recognition
The Corr siblings were awarded honorary MBEs in 2005 by

Omagh bombing and thePrince's Trust . Jim and his sisters were also involved in theLive 8 series of concerts, performing atEdinburgh in mid-2005 alongsideBono and other acts such asAnnie Lennox ,Eddie Izzard andBob Geldof . He also performed atNelson Mandela 's "46664" concert inSouth Africa , to help raise awareness of the growing AIDS epidemic in Africa.Corr currently holds an Irish Private Helicopter's Pilot Licence, allowing him to fly small aircraft such as his Robinson R44 Raven II helicopter (registration G-SWAT).
Personal life
In November 2005 he announced his engagement to former Miss Northern Ireland Gayle Williamson. On
May 10 ,2006 Gayle gave birth to the couple's first child, a son named Brandon. Jim and Gayle had planned on getting married, but have separated.Corr holds controversial views on many subjects of contemporary political interest. On
May 29 ,2008 Corr appeared as a guest on "The Last Word", the flagship current affairs program of Irish radio stationToday FM .
