Pnei Kedem ( _he. פני קדם), is an
Israeli settlement south ofBethlehem in theWest Bank located in the easternJudean Mountains near theArugot Stream at anelevation of 900 metresabove sea level .The village was built in October
2000 with assistance from Amana within the boundaries of the nearbyIsraeli settlement ofMetzad and on adjacent state-owned lands. As Israeli authorities do not recognize the village as an independent settlement, the CBS counts its residents as living in Metzad. It is home to nineteen families.The population of Pnei Kedem receives its municipal services from the
Gush Etzion Regional Council .4000
Olive trees were recently planted on state-owned lands, allotted for this purpose.Pnei Kedem holds an annual kite festival during
