Singapore Scholarship for ASEAN was started in 1999. The scholarship was awarded to 30 students from 9 ASEAN countries (except Singapore). The number of awards was increased to 60 around 2002. Under the program, students study in universities in Singapore. The scholarship was managed by Singapore Cooperation Programme (SCP).
