*22 August 1972 - Oliver Rowntree (22), Noel Madden (18) and Patrick Hughes (35), all Catholic members of the Provisional Irish Republican Army and Francis Quinn (28), Patrick Murphy (45), Michael Gilleece (32), Joseph Fegan (28) and John McCann (60), all Catholic civilians, and Craig Lawrence (33), a Protestant civilian, were all killed in a premature bomb explosion at the Customs Office, Newry.1973
*24 December 1973 - Edward Grant (18) and Brendan Quinn (17), both Catholic members of the Provisional Irish Republican Army, and Aubrey Harshaw (18), a Protestant civilian, were killed in a premature bomb explosion at Clarke's Bar, Monaghan Street, Newry.1974
*15 May 1974 - Colman Rowntree (24) and Martin McAlinden (23), both Catholic members of the Official Irish Republican Army, were shot dead by the British Army shortly after being captured while preparing a land mine, Ballyholland, near Newry.1975
*31 July 1975 - Fran O'Toole (27), Brian McCoy (33) and Tony Geraghty (23), all civilian members of the Miami Showband, were shot and killed by the Ulster Volunteer Force shortly after their minibus was stopped at a bogus vehicle check point at Buskhill, near Newry. Harris Boyle (22) and Wesley Somerville (34), both members of the Ulster Defence Regiment, were killed in a premature explosion while planting a bomb on the minibus belonging to the Miami Showband.1985
*28 February 1985 - Alexander Donaldson (41), Rosemary McGookin (27), Geoffrey Campbell (24), Sean McHenry (19), David Topping (22), John Dowd (31) and Ivy Kelly (29), Protestant members of the Royal Ulster Constabulary, and Denis Price (22), Paul McFerran (33), Catholic members of the Royal Ulster Constabulary, were killed in a Provisional Irish Republican Army mortar bomb attack on Corry Square Police Station.

*3 April 1985 - Michael Kay (38), a Protestant member of the Royal Ulster Constabulary and Kenneth Parry (55), a civilian employed at the Courthouse, were killed by a Provisional Irish Republican Army remote controlled bomb, hidden in parked car and detonated when a Royal Ulster Constabulary patrol passed, outside the Courthouse, Downshire Road, Newry.1986
*26 July 1986 - Karl Blackbourne (19), Peter Kilpatrick (27) and Charles Allen (37), all Protestant members of the Royal Ulster Constabulary, were shot and killed from close range by the Provisional Irish Republican Army while sitting in their stationary armoured patrol car at Market Street, Newry.1987
*24 September 1987 - Ian McKeown (37) Protestant civilian, killed by the Provisional Irish Republican Army while driving his car along Kilmorey Street, Newry, County Down.1990
*15 April 1990 - Eoin Morley (23) Catholic Provisional Irish Republican Army member, killed by British security agents who had infiltrated the PIRA at his girlfriend's home, Iveagh Crescent, Newry. 1992
*27 March 1992 - Colleen McMurray (34) Protestant member of the Royal Ulster Constabulary, killed by the Provisional Irish Republican Army in a horizontal mortar attack on Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) armoured patrol car, Merchants Quay, Newry.1993
*02 November 1993 - Brian Woods (30) Protestant member of the Royal Ulster Constabulary, killed by the Provisional Irish Republican Army. Died two days after being shot by sniper, while at Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) Vehicle Check Point (VCP), Upper Edward Street, Newry.1994
*29 April 1994 - Michael Brown (23) member of the Provisional Irish Republican Army, shot dead by the PIRA as an alleged informer (native of County Leitrim).
*10 November 1994 - Frank Kerr (54) Catholic civilian, killed by the Provisional Irish Republican Army. Shot, during armed robbery at his workplace, postal sorting office, Clanrye Street, Newry.1999
*27 January 1999 - Eamon Collins (45) Catholic ex-Irish Republican Army member and informer, killed by a non-specific Republican group (REP). Found beaten and stabbed to death, at the junction of Watsons Road and Dorans Hill, Newry.
*09 May 1999 - Brendan (Speedy) Fegan (24) Catholic civilian (reputed to be a drug dealer) shot dead by a non-specific Republican group (REP). Shot while in Hermitage Bar, Canal Street, Newry.
