Snorri Thorbrandsson

Snorri Thorbrandsson

Snorri Þorbrandsson is a character in the Icelandic "Eyrbyggja saga". He was from Álftafjörður in west Iceland, a blood-brother of the renowned Snorri goði Þorgrímsson and comrade-in-arms with Þorfinnr Karlsefni. Following mild injury and outlawry resulting from a conflict with Steinthor of Eyr, Snorri Þorbrandsson travelled to Greenland with his brother Þorleifr Kimbi and perished in battle against the skrælings, Native American people, during Karlsefni's trip to Vinland.
