Sir Parshurambhau College is a college in the western India region of Maharashtra in Pune City. Established in 1916, it is governed by the Shikshan Prasarak Mandali.The Shikshan Prasarak Mandali is one of the premier educational societies in Maharashtra that runs pre-primary, primary, secondary, higher secondary and higher educational institutions at Pune, Mumbai, Solapur, Shripur, Chiplun and Lodhivali in four districts of Western Maharashtra and Konkan. Today, Sir Parashurambhau College, established in 1916 with the efforts of four primary teachers, has blossomed into one of the best run educational institutions. It enjoys a place of pride in the academic field.Sir Parashurambhau College is an ideal centre of higher education and learning. It imparts education in the Arts, Science and Commerce streams at the under-graduate and post-graduate levels. The college has 22 full- fledged departments. The college has also initiated computer courses to face the challenges of the new millennium. S.P. College has one of the best infra-structure facilities, which include the Main Building, Library, Lady Ramabai Hall, Laboratories, Students' Hall, Hostels, Gymkhana, Playgrounds and a Swimming pool. The college has taken a conscious decision at the apex level of the Managing Committee not just to impart formal education but also to make ceaseless efforts to shape the personalities of its students. The college seeks to achieve this by introducing certain complementary activities at regular intervals. The teachers and the non-teaching staff work in perfect tandem to translate their goals into reality.

The principal of the college is Dr. Madhav Pendse, Botany Dept.
