Amy Lee is one of the few female saxophonists to attain commercial success.
Lee was born in
North Adams, Massachusetts , and studied music at theUniversity of Miami . She is best known for being a member ofJimmy Buffett 'sCoral Reefer Band from 1991 through 2005.In 1999, Lee released her debut solo jazz CD, "Inside The Outside", on her independent label Publick Ptomaine Music. She was first introduced to Jimmy Buffett by Charles Neville ofThe Neville Brothers , during the 1991New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival .Lee has appeared onstage with many other artists, including
