- Buxton Lammas
Buxton Lammas (also called Buxton with Lammas) is a local government area and railway halt in the English county of Norfolk. It comprises the villages of
Buxton, Norfolk (lying on one side of theRiver Bure ) and Lammas on the other side of the river. At this point theRiver Bure is crossed by theBure Valley Railway on a convert|105|ft|m|sing=on long girder bridge, and the halt for local trains is called Buxton Lammas.For local government purposes, the two villages jointly elect the "Buxton with Lammas Parish Council", and the two villages fall within the area covered by Broadland District Council and Norfolk County Council.
The two parishes covered by Buxton with Lammas Parish Council have a combined population of 1,695.
