The town has two Service Clubs, these being the Rotary Club of Rye and the Lions Club of Rye. Both organisations are heavily involved within the local community. Rye also has a Probus Club. Rye's summer carnival is located beside the pier carpark, and is home of the annual sand sculptures. It is a popular location during vacation periods, especially for graduating VCE students.
