Yellingbo's town area contains a public hall, CFA, general store, primary school and tennis courts, as well as the Waterfall Art Gallery. Nearby is the Yellingbo State Nature Reserve, one of the last remaining homes in the wild (along with Bunyip State Park) of the Helmeted Honeyeater, one of Victoria's official emblems.
