The Journal of Web Semantics (JWS) is an interdisciplinary,
peer-reviewed, scientific journal published by
Elsevier. It covers research and applications of various subjectareas that contribute to the development of a knowledge-intensive andintelligent service Web. These areas include: knowledge technologies,
ontology, agents, databases and the semantic grid, obviouslydisciplines like information retrieval, language technology,
human-computer interaction and knowledge discovery are of majorrelevance as well. All aspects of the Semantic Web development arecovered.

The journal publishes four issues per year which appear quarterly onthe Web and are collected into one archival, printed volume at the end ofthe year. The first issue was published in December 2003. The
Editors-in-Chief are Tim Finin, Carole Goble and Riichiro Mizoguchi.
