Peter Warren (born 1939) is a Canadian investigative journalist,
private investigator , formertalk radio host and member of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters' Hall of Fame.Biography
Born in
London to an English family, one of three sons, himself, Tim Warren and John Warren. Warren worked briefly as a junior sports reporter onFleet Street after being expelled fromDulwich College . He then moved to Canada where he wrote for variousnewspaper s including theCalgary Herald , theToronto Telegram , theWinnipeg Tribune , and theSaint John Telegraph-Journal . He has also written forMaclean's Magazine , The Globe and Mail,The Manchester Guardian ,TIME Magazine and theHong Kong Star .Warren rose to fame as an "open line" radio talk show host, a career he would enjoy for 35 years, the longest such tenure in North America. Action Line " morning talk show on CJOB inWinnipeg, Manitoba from 1971 to 1998 when he was replaced by Charles Adler. He moved toVictoria, British Columbia and hosted a syndicated weekend radio program, "Warren on the Weekend " from 1998 to 2006.
