HMCS "Riviere du Loup" (K357) was a Flower-class corvette that served in the
Royal Canadian Navy ."Riviere du Loup" followed the design of the modified Flower-class corvettes and was ordered from Morton Engineering & Dry Dock Co. as part of the 1942-1943 Programme (Increased Endurance). She was laid down on
5 January 1943 and launched on2 July 1943 . She was commissioned into the RCN on21 November 1943 .She was decommissioned from the RCN on
2 July 1945 . She was sold in 1947 to theDominican Republic as "Juan Bautista Maggiolo", serving until 1972.References
