Mathima Solfege

Mathima Solfege

Mathima Solfege (Greek script: Μάθημα σολφέζ, English translation: "Solfege Lesson") was the Greek entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1977, performed in Greek by Pascalis, Marianna, Robert & Bessy.
The song was performed tenth on the night (following the United Kingdom's Lynsey de Paul & Mike Moran with Rock Bottom and preceding Israel's Ilanit with Ahava Hi Shir Lishnayim). At the close of voting, it had received 92 points, placing 5th in a field of 18.

As the title suggests, the song features a number of musical terms, with the singers expressing their great love of the discipline and their claim that it can serve as a unifying agent in the world.

It was succeeded as Greek representative at the 1978 Contest by Tania Tsanaklidou with Charlie Chaplin.
