Togakushi Shrine

The Togakushi shrine (Japanese: 戸隠神社) is a shrine in Togakushi, Nagano, Japan. The Shrine is also part of the in the Joshinetsu Kogen National Park. There are actually three shrines, known as the lower, middle, and upper shrine (Togakushi hokosha, Togakushi chusha, and Togakushi okusha respectively), each ca. 2km apart. The approach to the upper shrine is known for its natural beauty, lined with over 300 majestic old Sugi trees.
