Singleton is a suburb of Ashford in Kent, South East England, created as an area of new houses, started in the 1980s.

Ashford Green Corridor, a Local Nature Reserve, includes Singleton Lake, a man made fishing lake in the area.

Singleton Environment Centre [ [http://www2.btcv.org.uk/display/kent_singleton_env_centre BTCV Website] ] opened in June 2008 and provides a full and imaginative programme of activities catering for people of all ages from both the local community and visitors to Ashford.

Activities include environmental, conservation and educational activities, fitness classes, holistic health treatments, arts and entertainment and community events.

The centre serves as a local attraction and environmental education resource for local primary schools and a growing number of environmental groups and projects in the borough of Ashford.

Singleton

Singleton is a very popular 'village' close to town centre. With easy access by bus or by foot to the town centre and to Great Chart, there is lots of tourist attractions. Singleton also has three rather cool people living there; Tom Moore, Dan Blackman, Ryan Curtis. They make Ashford just a tantalisinly amazing place. "hehe"Although Singleton is an amazing place, there is one other suburb on the other side of Ashford; Kennington, also known as the 'Big Pear', like New york is known as the 'Big Apple'. It has some even cooler people living there; Katherine Whitehead, Gabriella Ferris, Faith Gosden. There is also a village very close to the 'Big Pear' which is known as the 'Big Question mark" aka Wye. Charlotte Wakelin, and Chloe Fletcher are well known for there coolness, and they live there. That is also a rather touristy part of England to visit, with its own 'crown' and butchers ;) Bascially Kennington, Wye and Singleton are the bestest places in Kent to visit, and are the best tourist attractions lmao!
