Jeff Pollock 's film "Above the Rim ". Pollock co-wrote the screenplay with Barry Michael Cooper, who also scripted "New Jack City" and "Sugar Hill". The soundtrack for "Above The Rim"" had five singles, "Pour Out a Little Liquor" by 2Pac, "Regulate " byWarren G andNate Dogg , "Part Time Lover" byH-Town , "Afro Puffs " by TheLady Of Rage , and "Didn't Mean To Turn You On" by2nd II None . It also feauters many new acts including B-Rezell, Lord G, DJ Rogers and also the Death Row debut for 2Pac. One of the more acclaimed tracks from the original release of the album, "Pain" by 2Pac was not included on the compact disc rerelease of the album. It was certified double platinum with its 2,142,290 shipped copies. The album won on the 1995 Source Awards as the Soundtrack of The Year.Track listing
