History

Narsapur is a one of the major town in Medak district, Andhra Pradesh, [india] .
Located 60 km north of Hyderabad, which takes a one and half hour journey from
Secuderabad Jublee Bus station. The history of this town dates back to Kakatiya reign.
Though people of various religious backgrounds live in Narsapur town, they have
embraced the Telangana culture.

Narsapur is small town with full of greenary and surrounded by hills and thick forest. Earlier Narsapur was famous for 'Naxalites' but now it is completely changed because of modernization and development in AP especially in Hyderabad surrounding areas. Narsapur has a big pond of Medak District. Narsapur is also a vital Constituency for local parties. Narsapur is also chosen as a first location to start MNIC(Multi-Purpose National Identity Card) s in all over India.

Narsapur Forest, the biggest forest in the suburbs of the Greater Hyderabad, is spread between Gummadidala and Narsapur towns. This dense patch of forest spans over 30 to 40 km². This has variety of trees, many lakes and supports wildlife. Lately, this has become a hotspot for Telugu film shootings. Films include 'Kshanakshanam','Mathrudevobhava','Oncemore','Ratri','Telangana','Adrustam','Chantigadu','Dee','A film by Aravind'and lot many............

Narsapur is now known for the most famous Engineering college "Padmasri Dr.B.V.Raju Institute of Technology".The College was started by the famous Philanthropis Padmabhushan Dr.B.V.Raju garu. This is the best college in Andhra Pradesh. This college has six departments which are BioMedical,Computer Science, Computer Science and Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Chemical Engineering. This is the first college in the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University to have BIO MEDICAL department. The collge offers Post Graduate courses in Electronics and Chemical stream.The college has also started MCA under JNTU affiliation under the strong leadership of Mr ravi prasad,MTech, a brilliant faculty.You can see the Narsapur through this wiki's link...
