The State Anthem of the Latvian SSR ( _lv. Latvijas Padomju Sociālistiskās Republikas valsts himna) was the national anthem of Latvia when it was a republic of the Soviet Union and known as the Latvian SSR.
Background
The music was composed by Anatols Liepiņš, and the lyrics were written by Fricis Rokpelnis and Jūlijs Vanags.
