The little conger eel or silver conger, "Gnathophis habenatus", is a conger of the family "Congridae", found on soft bottoms of the continental shelf of the Indian and southwest Pacific Oceans. Length is up to 43 cm.

The little conger eel is similar to other conger eels including the umbrella conger, the small differences being an overall silvery colouring including the eyes and gill region, and there are black patches both above and below the eyes. There are many rows of minute teeth in each jaw.
