Zaynab ( _ar. زينب) (also spelled as Zeynab, Zainab and Zainub) is an Arabic female given name. It means 'a fragrant flowering plant', 'Desert Flower' or 'an ornamented tree". It is believed to be a modification of Zenubia, a pre-Islam Syrian queen.
