Sagarika (Sanskrit: सागरिका, Sāgarikā "Oceanic") is a nuclear capable submarine-launched ballistic missile with a range of convert|750|km|0.

This missile has a length of convert|18.5|m|0, weighs convert|17|t|0 and can carry a pay load of up to convert|500|kg|0. The first confirmation about the missile came in 1998 when, the then Defence minister George Fernandes announced during a press conference about the development of the missile Sagarika. This was handed over to the Indian Navy for trials. The missile was successfully test fired six times in all and to its full range upto three times. The Indian Navy plans to induct the missile into service soon. The missile is being integrated with the Advanced Technology Vessel that is expected to begin sea trials by 2009. The scientists who developed the missile were felicitated by the Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh.
