Sagarika Ghose (born
8 November 1964 ) is an Indian journalist, author andtelevision personality .Ghose received her bachelor's degree in history from St. Stephen's College,
Delhi . A recipient of theRhodes Scholarship , she gained a bachelor's in modern history from Magdalen College and an M.Phil fromSt Antony's College at Oxford. She has been a journalist in India since 1991 and has worked at theThe Times Of India ,Outlook magazine andThe Indian Express . She is currently a (2006) senior editor and prime time anchor on the news networkCNN-IBN .In 2004 she became the first woman to anchor the popular
BBC programme "Question Time India". She is also the author of the novel "The Gin Drinkers", published in 1998. Its a novel about knowledge that displays Ghoses gift of observation. Her second novel "Blind Faith" was published in 2006 byHarperCollins .She is married to a well-known television personality
Rajdeep Sardesai , son of cricketerDileep Sardesai , and has two children, Ishan and Tarini. She is the daughter of Bhaskar Ghose, erstwhile Director General ofDoordarshan , the Indian public television network. Her two illustrious aunts include Ruma Pal, former justice of the Supreme Court and Arundhati Ghose, former ambassador and diplomat.Bibliography
