Stouffville (IPAEng|ˈstoʊvɪl) is the primary urban area within the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville,
Ontario inCanada . It is centred at the intersection of Ninth Line and Main Street Stouffville. Housing developments began to boom in the 1950s mainly in the northern part. The suburban housing developments continued through the 1980s mainly slightly north and south of the community. Unlike other parts of the
Greater Toronto Area , Stouffville's population remained the same throughout the 1990s. In 1995, a portion Highway 47 east to Toronto Road, 2 km east of Highway 48 which used to run for 2 km with Stouffville Road and ran with Ninth Line was moved north as a bypass of Stouffville and shortened 4 km of its total length. The highway began near Bloomington Road. The nearest industrial area is found 7 km northeast in the western part of Uxbridge. The industrial area was formed in the late 1990s.Youth Involvement
Whitchurch-Stouffville has prided itself in expanding its youth involvement in the town. The " [http://www.wsmyc.tk Whitchurch Stouffville Mayor's Youth Council] " has been established to arrange activities for young people, which have included town cleanups, "Stouffville Idol" talent competitions, carwashes, dances and sports nights.
