Higashimuro District, Wakayama

Higashimuro (東牟婁郡; -gun) is a district located in Wakayama, Japan.

As of 2003, the district has an estimated population of 37,945 and a density of 39.62 persons per km². The total area is 957.68 km².

Around March 31, 2010, the city of Shingū and Nachikatsuura will merge.http://www.kokudo.or.jp/new/cities/sub/kinki/30.htm]
